Man butchered on his first wedding anniversary

He promised to take us out – Wife
Find his killer – Family
We are on it – Police

When Saheed and Funke Eluyera were taking their marital vows on December 15, 2015, little did they know that, that joyful day was going to be a sorrowful day a year after, as Saheed was murdered, on the first anniversary of the wedlock.

He was allegedly murdered by cultists who were fighting each other at Orogba area of Ilesa, Osun State.

Saheed, 37, a B.Sc holder, a newspaper agent in the state, had woken up on that day and posted on his face book page that he was going to celebrate with his family; his wife and their seven-month-old twins.

Saturday Sun gathered that Saheed , who courted his wife for five years before they got married, had waited long to marry because he wanted to make enough money to raise his family in a comfortable atmosphere.

According to his younger brother, Posi, who spoke to Saturday Sun, Saheed the day his brother got married was so special to him and his experience made him to become an advocate of early marriage.
“The day of the wedding was his best day, in his entire life, my brother was a jovial person, but that day was special. He danced and was happy.

“Since the day he got married, he would always advise me that marriage is good and that I should go and get a wife. He said that the joy of seeing his children cry for his attention or the peace of having a good wife and the joy of not having to be stressed to make food after the day’s work were the reasons he loved marriage. His wife has never complained,” Posi said.

His death has thrown his family into mourning. Cry was the chorus. Wailing was the style. Sympathizers were uncontrollable as they entered in groups. Their two -room apartment was filled to capacity.

Saheed’s wife, Funke who was also wailing as at the time of visit, struggled to run to nowhere. Although, a graduate of Accounting, Funke, who operates a sewmistress business, could not mutter any word. When she tried to, she could only recount her husband’s promises to her, before he was killed.

“Who will train my children? You promised that Taye (boy) will be a doctor and Kehinde (girl) will be a lawyer and we will grow old together,” she shouted.

Speaking further on the circumstances that led to his death, the deceased’s younger brother, Posi, said
he did not know why his brother would be targeted because he was well known as a peacemaker. True to his nature, Posi said if Saheed knew that the fight involved cultists, he might not have intervened the way he did.

“On that day he was killed, it was his one year anniversary (sic), he had already told his wife to dress up the twins that they were going to celebrate after he was done with the day’s work. He was a very lovely and jovial person. His smile was contagious. He did not like to cheat people.

He was a philanthropist by default. He rendered help even when it was to his own disadvantage. He was an easy-going person. His routine was from work to mosque then home. He had no enemies in the state.

“He went to Wesley College to supply them and headed to a barbing saloon to clean up, on his way, he discovered that the motorcycle was having some fault and decided to repair it, since he was going out with his family later. It was at the junction where he was repairing his motorcycle that he saw some men, engaging in a brutal fight.

Then he decided to intervene. But the fight became fierce. In the process, they hit him with an object right at the centre of his head, and he lay there dead.

“It was later on that we found out that the two men that were fighting were rival cult members. I think he didn’t know this, it was when he heard why they were fighting that he wanted to run like every other person, but he was hit by them. People who were there, didn’t help him because of the group that were fighting,” said Posi.

When Saturday Sun querried if Saheed had made some “dangerous” friends in the course of his job as a newspaper agent, Posi said that it was not possible. He revealed that they inherited the business from their father and have been running it for 13 years.

“The job that he is doing is the same thing that I am doing. It was the job our father did. When he was retiring he told us to take it over. He was well known. He had the mind to intervene because of his reputation as a peacemaker. If we are not enjoying it or see the job as a risky one, we wouldn’t have agreed to do it. He did the job for over 13years,” he said.

He also told Saturday Sun that since the news of the death of Saheed, was broken to the parents, Saheed’s father, Pa Eluyera, had not been himself. He was said to have fainted and was revived twice, to the extent that the family is afraid of the consequence to the man’s health.

“We buried him because of how our parent was taking it. Since his death, my father has fainted twice and now we can’t leave our father alone because he might faint and nobody will be there to help him. If we had left him in the mortuary, our parent will not stop the tears from flowing,” Posi observed.

Family wants justice
The Eluyera family is pleading with the state government and the Commissioner of Police, Fimihan Adeoye, to find their brother’s killer.

“When we got to the State Crime Investigation Department, SCID, on Tuesday, the police said that they have not arrested anybody, therefore, we should go ahead with his burial process. They promised that they will be searching for the culprits. The cult clashes here in Osogbo are too much. They have been killing people anyhow. We now live in fear.

“We plead with the state government to please find our brother’s killers and protect the rest of us that are alive. The children of my brother might suffer now, because there is no way anybody could be like their father,” Posi, added.

Apart from the cult clash that took Saheed’s life, there was another case a day before in Osogbo where about two cultists were also killed.

Meanwhile the Police Commissioner, Fimihan promised to battle the increasing cult clashes, in the state.

Recession: Scarcity of small naira denominations hits banks

Nigeria’s prevailing economic recession has forced the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to suspend printing of small naira denominations for about a year, leading to the scarcity of the notes in the economy, sources at the apex bank have disclosed.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), citing sources at the CBN, reports that for a year now, the apex bank did not award contract for the printing of the notes such as N5, N10, N20 and N50 usually done abroad.

According to NAN, the recently printed notes in circulation, including N200, N500 and N1,000, were produced by the Nigeria Security Printing and Minting (NSPM) Plc.

Sources attribute the high cost of printing banknotes as the reason the apex bank did not award contracts for their production.

“The cost of printing N50 is almost the same as N1,000 but printing small denominations costs more than the value and with the present economic situation, it makes sense to print higher notes, which can be done locally by NSPM,” a source said.

Confirming the scarcity of the small naira denominations in the country, a worker at the First Bank Plc said that there were hardly smaller currency notes to give to customers throughout the 2016 festive seasons.

“We usually request for cash from the CBN through our Cash Management Centre, but recently, we have not been able to get mints of N100 and below. We had N50 at one point but it wasn’t in the quantity we are used to getting.

“We have been telling our customers who call to request for mints that the smallest note they can get is N200,” the bank employee, who pleaded anonimity said.

But the CBN has denied the allegation that it had not contracted the printing of smaller denomination currencies since 2015.

The CBN Acting Director, Corporate Communications, Mr. Isaac Okorafor, dismissed reports of scarcity of smaller denominations in the market.
He said people are complaining because the CBN did not make provision for mints to be supplied in smaller denominations during the festive season.

“You see, people are fond of abusing these denominations by spraying them to be stepped on during weddings and other ceremonies.

The abuse is even worse during the festive season, so we decided to make scarce the denominations. But it’s not that we have not been printing them. Yes, we haven’t printed abroad but we also print locally, which we have been doing,” he said.

Why we planned to bomb 3rd Mainland Bridge – Suspect

LAGOS — One of the leaders of a notorious militant group operating in Ikorodu and Arepo areas of Lagos and Ogun states, Abiodun Amos, said yesterday, that his group planned to bomb the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos because the Federal Government failed to consider its members for amnesty.

The group had planned to bomb the bridge end of last month before Amos’ arrest by the Inspector-General of Police Special Intelligence Response Team, led by Abba Kyari, an Assistant Commissioner of Police, frustrated its efforts.

“We went into bank robberies and kidnapping because we wanted to get government’s attention and all we wanted was for them to grant us amnesty and also offer us pipeline protection contract. ‘’We have made several appeals but government is not listening to us.

‘’General” Ossy (leader of the gang) said if we don’t blow up the Third Mainland Bridge, government will not listen to us. We had concluded plans to carry out the attack by November ending. ‘’I am the group’s explosives expert and before I was arrested we were going into the creeks to conclude plans on how to carry out the attack.”

The suspect, also popularly known as Senti, said his group was hitherto involved in pipeline vandalism, noting that it resorted to kidnapping when it became difficult for its members to continue with the illegal business due to the presence of the military and policemen.

The suspect is a 43-year-old native of Arogbo, in Ese-Odo Local Government Area of Ondo State. He was arrested by operatives of the Inspector General of Police Special Intelligence Response Team, IRT, at a river bank in Majidun area of Ikorodu, Lagos, on Monday. Two AK-47 rifles hidden inside a bag were found with the 43-year-old suspect as Vanguard reliably gathered that additional two cartons of explosives, with the words Gelatine Dynamite inscribed on them, and detonators, were recovered from the group’s operational saloon car.

Amos’ arrest, it was gathered, followed intelligence generated by office of the National Security Adviser to the President, NSA, on November 2, 2016, that the group had concluded plans to blow up the Third Mainland Bridge. Vanguard gathered that the information was passed on to the Inspector-General of Police, Mr Ibrahim Idris, who subsequently directed his IRT to commence investigation into the matter.

During investigation by the team, it was revealed that the militants had acquired a large quantity of dynamite and several other explosives with which to carry out the dastardly act. Recall that the group in October 2016 carried out secret illegal operations like pipeline vandalism, kidnapping and bank robberies and had demanded for amnesty, threatening to disrupt economic activities within Lagos and Ogun states if the Federal Government didn’t grant their request.

Suspected leader of the militant group, General Ossy (real names not known), had in recent times, allegedly coordinated many bank robberies and several high-profile kidnappings, including the kidnap of three school girls at Babington Macaulay Junior Seminary School in Ikorodu; kidnap of four landlords at Isheri North Area of Lagos; abduction of Oniba of Ibaland, Oba Goriola Oseni, among several others within Lagos and Ogun state s. ‘General’ Ossy had boasted in an interview with Vanguard that his group has over 21 ‘generals’ commanding 7,800 battle-ready boys, adding that the group is rich enough to fight the Federal Government, having acquired thousands of arms and ammunition similar to that of the military.

He said the arms would be deployed to disrupt economic activities within Lagos and Ogun states, should the Federal Government fail to dialogue with the group and grant its wish. Confirming the development, Force Public Relations Officer, Don Awunah, a deputy Commissioner of Police, DCP, said: “Yes, an individual was arrested.

On sighting the policemen, the second suspect jumped out of his car and escaped into the bush, abandoning the operational vehicle. ‘’On searching the vehicle, two cartons of Gelatine dynamite explosives and hundreds of detonators were recovered in the boot of the car. Efforts to arrest the remaining gang members are in progress.”

It’s pure insanity — Afenifere

Reacting to the development, Pan-Yoruba socio-political organisation, Afenifere, described the move as insane. Its National Publicity Secretary, Yinka Odumakin, said: “It is insane for anybody to hatch such a satanic plot. To what end and in reaction to what? ‘’It is good they have been arrested .They should be properly investigated for us to know what their motive was and their likely backers.”

Lagos PDP reacts

In its reaction, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Lagos State, called on the state government to up its security to reduce crime rate. Its publicity Secretary, Mr Gani Taofik, said: “Such a plan is evil and can’t be defended. It must be further verified to remove any doubt and if a proper fact check confirms it, those arrested must be made to face the full weight of the law.

‘’This is to now put the Lagos State government on alert to up its security. The APC government must address the economic and social injustice to reduce these angry reactions which ordinary citizens now suffer. Taking over Sambisa may now be a fluke as the Boko Haram may strategically leave there with no loss, into the cities.

Drug traffickers excrete 50 wraps of cocaine

Two drug trafficking suspects have been arrested with 1.2 kilogrammes of cocaine at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos State.

PUNCH Metro learnt that the suspects – David Achebe, 37, and 43-year-old Daniel Ndukwe – met their Waterloo on Saturday during an outward screening of passengers on Ethiopian and Egypt airline flights by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency at the MMIA.

The detectives were said to have placed the duo on a close watch, during which Achebe excreted 45 wraps of cocaine while Nduwke expelled five wraps of the drug.
Our correspondent gathered that Achebe and Ndukwe had wanted to smuggle the narcotic to Hong Kong and Greece respectively.

Achebe, who deals in electronics, reportedly told investigators that a friend contracted him to traffic in cocaine with a promise of N5m for a successful operation.

He said, “I sell electronics at Alaba market. This is my first time of dealing in drugs. My friend in Hong Kong introduced me to cocaine smuggling. He sent the drug to me. The cocaine was in a black polythene bag containing plantain and pineapples.

“I swallowed the 45 wraps in my toilet without my wife’s knowledge. I was promised the sum of N5m which I had wanted to use in importing electronics. At the airport, they told me that scanning machine indicated that I had drugs on me. That was how I was arrested.”

Ndukwe in his confessional statement said he thought he would scale through the screening due to the small quantity of the drug, adding that he was to be paid N250,000.
“I have lived in Athens (Greece) for over a decade. I lost my job last year and things have been very bad financially.

I came to Nigeria to visit my wife and two children. I had no plan to smuggle drugs until a friend called me from Athens that I should bring five wraps of cocaine. Since it is only five wraps, I felt it will be an easy task. He sent someone to give me the wraps in Umuahia (Abia State). I inserted the five wraps in my anus,” he said.

The NDLEA Commander at the airport, Mr. Ahmadu Garba, said a preliminary investigation indicated that the suspects wanted to cash in on the Yuletide, thinking there would be laxity in the screening process.

“Both suspects tested positive for narcotic ingestion and while under observation, they expelled wraps of cocaine which they had wanted to smuggle out of the country. Achebe ingested cocaine weighing 935 grammes while Ndukwe ingested 215 grammes. The suspects are currently under investigation,” Ahmadu added.

The Chairman of the agency, Col. Muhammad Abdallah (retd), stated that those, who indulged in drug trafficking, would end up in prison custody.

He said, “This is a warning to drug traffickers that the agency is determined to detect all hidden drugs and prosecute offenders.

There are control measures in place to detect narcotics at all exit and entry points. We shall continue to improve on our strategies in order to provide a safe society for all.”

Woman kills husband over Christmas food

While Nigerians were celebrating Christmas in their homes, a housewife, Christiana Odo, allegedly killed her husband, Rominus, for failing to provide money for the family during the celebration.

PUNCH Metro learnt that the incident happened at the couple’s home on London Barber Street, Majidun, in the Ikorodu area of Lagos State.

It was learnt that Christiana, 37, had asked the husband for money for food to celebrate Christmas, but the husband had said he didn’t have any money.
This was said to have led to a quarrel between the couple, which degenerated into a fight.

Our correspondent was told that in the ensuing scuffle, Christiana, a mother of three, picked a kitchen knife, with which she stabbed the husband to death.

A police source said the incident happened around 5.20pm, adding that it threw the community into confusion.

He said, “The woman asked the man for money for food, but the man turned her down, saying he didn’t have money. This led to an argument and the man hit her. They fought and the woman, in anger, went into the kitchen and got a knife with which she stabbed him to death.

“What attracted neighbours was the man’s scream for help as he was drenched in blood. The woman said it was not intentional.”

The landlord was said to have reported the case to policemen from the Owode Onirin division, who arrested the suspect.

The victim’s corpse was reportedly deposited in the Ikorodu General Hospital’s morgue.
The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Dolapo Badmos, confirmed the incident, saying the case had been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Yaba.

She said, “It was a resident that came to report at the station that the man fought with his wife. In the process, the woman stabbed him to death. The police visited and photographed the scene.

The suspect was arrested and the corpse deposited in a morgue. The case is still under investigation as we await the result of the autopsy. Meanwhile, the case has been transferred to the SCIID.”

Anger over murder of Temidayo, bride-to-be

Family still in shock, anguish

Nigerians, especially friends and associates of Temidayo Adeleke, the bride-to-be stabbed to death by her steward, at her Ikoyi, Lagos house on Tuesday, have taken to the social media to rain curses at her killer, 22-year-old Joel  Ludguo, even as relations soaked her Prince Tayo Adesanya Street, Lake View estate, Ikoyi, residence in tears.

The 33-year- old late Dayo’s gruesome murder has triggered shock, anguish numbness and confusion as she was reported to be neck deep in the arrangements for her wedding next year
Outrage has continued to trail the killing on the various social media platforms since the news broke midweek, with many commentators and friends cursing her killer and paying the deceased a flurry of tributes.

One of Dayo’s devastated friends, Gbemi evoked pathos on Instagram, where she shared a photo they both took together recently. In her comment, Gbemi said they had met few weeks ago to discuss her upcoming wedding. “My heart is so broken and I can only trust that God needed an angel! This picture is how I will always remember you and is a tribute to our friendship, since we were three years old playing in Mulliner Towers up until a few weeks ago when I saw you at dinner and we were discussing your upcoming wedding!

You lived life on your own terms and always had a way of making me laugh out loud! I still remember my birthday trip in Barbados when you insisted we swim with the turtles and then as soon as it came near you, you screamed that it molested you. That still makes me chuckle every time I remember that! I love you girl and i can’t believe you have left us way too soon! Rest in perfect peace!”

Another visibly shaken Nigerian, Amanda Chisom, was particularly incensed at Dayo’s tragic fate, noting that it could happen to anyone. She poured out her worries on her Facebook wall: ““You do not owe anybody anything, do not try to consider what will happen if you sack them or stop using their services. The world is full of serious, committed people, use their help and let the horny, greedy and incapable people go find another person.

Why is this girl’s death paining me,? This could easily be me or any of my single friends who work too hard to do certain things themselves”.

An anonymous individual after reading the story on a blog was full of rage as he blasted and called on Nigerians to shun employing non-Nigerians, apparently reacting to reports that the killer- help hand was a Cameroonian refugee until Dayo picked him from the streets and gave him a means of livelihood.

He comments: “When will Nigerians stop employing all these foreigners as cooks and drivers? My aunt who lives at Lekki almost lost her life too, but her cook made away with her Jewellery and other valuables in the house. We think Nigerians are bad, but I tell you these Cameroonians, Ghanaians, Togolese, etc are worse than our brothers.

They come to our country, take the jobs from our people. Thereafter, they loot from their employees and sometimes kill them as well. Then they run back to their country. NIGERIANS WAKE UP. R.I.P young lady”

The dancing video alleged to have been uploaded on Instagram by the suspect same day Dayo died has continued to trend online drawing the ire of commentators. It was seen as a “victory dance” and has not only attracted multitude of viewership, but countless curses and vituperation on his instagram page.

Below are a few of them dnova710: “Idiot… You shall never know peace even in death. Omo ale jatijatichi_natural: “This is the bastard that killed his boss” officialhushfanpage: “You were taken from church and housed, clothed and given work. The way you repay that is to stab her in the chest, right? You will reap everything you have sown in a thousandfold. The heartache you have caused to many, that’s all you will know for the rest of your miserable life.”

Hrmolorisandra: “Killer. God will avenge her death, watch God. He’s a silent judge. Mad man jumping up and down like a possessed demon. Who would have thought that your other personality is being a murderer.”

In contrast to the roiling atmosphere on the web, however, the mood at Dayo’s home is somber, reflecting the misfortune that has hit her family.
For her family members and loved ones it will certainly be a sad Christmas as they grieve over the violent death of their daughter.

Sympathizers, friends and family members who throng the Ikoyi home are still trying to make sense of the tragedy.
Wearing long faces, many of them lacked words to express how they really felt
Saturday Sun saw mourners, men and women, leaving the residence of the Adelekes, talking in dejected and hushed tones.

A condolence register has been opened at the entrance of the living room, with late Dayo’s photograph and candles burning slowly by the side. Entries mostly eulogizes the deceased and bade her a peaceful farewell.

Even though members of the family refused to officially comment on the incident, a relation, who spoke to Saturday Sun in confidence, said the family has left whatever necessary steps to be taken about the case to the government.

When pressed further about the behavior of the alleged killer, he said that: ‘’Talking about Joel is not our business. It is the police and the government’s job to punish his offence, not ours. We don’t want to put sensation into it. When we are ready to let the press report the story and the stand of the family, we will write a press release and make it official.

“It is a big tragedy that has befallen us and we are trying to take our loss like humans. She was killed. It is different from when someone dies a natural death. We can’t even let her mother hear about it.’’
The source expressed disappointment at the different versions of the story that has been trending on the internet, saying they were mostly false and distorted. He urged the media to refrain from false publication or face the family’s wrath.

“We don’t like what some media outlets are writing, they are publishing false report. They didn’t get many things right, what happened before her death and the circumstances surrounding her death,’’ he complained.
On a paper pasted on the door was an appeal to visitors to keep their voices low and refrain from discussing the incident with Dayo’s mother.

However, Adeleke would not be the first or only employer to be murdered by callous and bloodthirsty employees or aides.
The police stations and courtrooms are replete with cases of aggrieved workers acting alone or in concert to put their masters, mistress or their close relations to death.

For instance, a  50-year-old businesswoman’s decomposing body was found in her apartment last week at the Victoria Garden City, VGC, in August. She was allegedly murdered by her gate man, following an argument over the latter’s salary.

It was gathered that the deceased, Mabel Okafor, who lived alone in her palatial duplex at House J68B, Close 9, VGC, Ajah, had no domestic worker except the gate man.
The gate man, with an undisclosed identity, reportedly resumed work about two months before the incident brought by the deceased’s former gate man.

One of her neihbours said: “Nobody knew that the woman was dead until last Friday. We learned that she was stabbed last Wednesday, but it was not until her church members visited on Friday that they found her decomposing body.

“The gate of the building was only bolted, but not locked when the church members came. “One of them said they became apprehensive after several calls to her mobile telephone indicated that her line was switched off, prompting them to pay her a visit, only to be welcomed with a stench from her room. “Her body was found on the floor of the sitting room downstairs, with a knife protruding out of her stomach.

“After her death, some gate men from the suspected culprit’s ethnic group said he had boasted that he would leave an indelible mark on her madam, following argument over increase in his salary. “They said he claimed he was being paid N20,000 but demanded an increase of N10,000, which the woman refused. The fleeing gate man was quoted by some gate men here to have argued that he usually washed his madam’s car and also swept the compound.”

Another resident, who simply gave his name as Goke, said: “Police have not been able to get the gate man since the incident occurred, neither have they been able to reach the one that brought him. In fact, the gate man went away with her phone. We have been warned several times to employ private guards from registered security companies, but some landlords here do not heed the advice.”

Also, on May 6, 2015, a 65-year-old beer parlour operator, Agnes Elue residing at No 293B Agbani road in Enugu was killed by the house help over issues of fund diversion.
The suspect, Joseph Ijeh had lived with the deceased for over 20 year. It was gathered that the suspect had over the years built confidence on his ability to run the beer parlour until recently when the proprietress noticed that he (Joseph) had not been rendering proper account.

On the ill fated day, Agnes beckoned on Joseph to render account of sales made during the period in review. This, however, allegedly infuriated Joseph and he went for the kill. According to the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, DSP, “Unknown to Agnes, rather than furnish her with the account, Joseph armed with pestle, hit Agnes at the back of the head and she died immediately.

The suspect hid the corpse in one of the rooms for days before operatives got wind of the crime. They swung into action and arrested the suspect.
Also in 2014, the police in Lagos arrested an 18- year- old boy, Hounvenou Yavine, a Beninoise, for slitting the throat of his boss’ mother, Mrs. Mariam Abiola.

Yavine was brought into Lagos in April 2014 by his elder sister on the request of late Mrs. Abiola’s daughter. He was then taken to the Ikeja home of the late 78- year -old woman to serve as her house help as well as an assistant at her alcohol distribution shop.

A month after his arrival, her home was demolished by the state government, prompting her to temporarily relocate to her daughter’s home at the Ijaiye Low Cost Housing Estate, where his primary assignment was to take care of her and also clean her daughter’s house. On July 1 of that year, Yavine, who was alone at home with the old woman, slit her throat and left her to die.

No one knew why he killed the woman, but when asked, the young boy said someone asked him to kill her.
Yasvine was arraigned before a Lagos Magistrate court where a one count charge of murder was read to him.

In Ogun, a State High Court sentenced a 21-year old house help to death by hanging for killing his former boss, a retired Chief Magistrate in March last year.
The court, sitting in Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State, found David Ndah, 21, guilty of killing Funmilayo Timehin, 65, at her Laderin Estate Residence in Abeokuta.

David, an Igede indigene from Benue State, was a former house help of late
Madam Timehin, but was sacked for alleged stealing of mobile phones and jewellery.
Again in 2012, a manager and a housemaid were arrested by the Lagos State Police Command, Ikeja for allegedly killing their boss,.

The victim whose name was given as Alhaja Sikirat Eko of Omole Phase 1, Lagos State was until her untimely death the owner of a restaurant and bar located in her compound, where she lived alone with the maid.

The suspects, according to the police authorities reportedly murdered Eko at her home located on 5, Babatunde Ladega Street and threw her corpse into a well .
After the gruesome murder, the manager and the maid continued managing the bar, claiming that their boss had travelled.

The suspects met their waterloo when relatives of the late Eko came on a visit and demanded for the deceased’s whereabouts, and having failed to give a reasonable answer, the relatives reported to the case to Area G Command, in Ogba.

The manager was reportedly using the deceased’s phone and assumed her identity. Sometimes, he would send text messages with her phone, telling people that all was well.”
