MIC Casket, Mr. OKUSANYA Was Among The Passengers And Had Been Confirmed Dead
The name of Gbenga, son of former President
Olusegun Obasanjo, is making the rounds as one of the victims of this morning’s
plane crash in Nigeria’s commercial capital, Lagos.
According to Akanni Segun Segun Olalekan, former
Personal Assistant to Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC) National Cordinator, Otunba
Gani Adams, “OBj’s son, Gbenga was also killed in the crash as all the 20
passengers.”
Olalekan has releasing names of alleged victims of the
crash on his facebook wall. He wrote: “Its been reported that the owner of MIC
Casket, Mr. OKUSANYA was among the passengers and had been confirmed dead!”
“Deji Falae (Ondo State Commissoner for Culture and
Tourism) who read law @ OAU , Mrs Agagu and Children confirmed dead.”
About 20 passengers are believed to have been in
the Embraer aircraft reportedly owned and operated by Associated Airlines,
which crashed around Concord Road in Mafoluku shortly after taking off from the
local wing of the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Ikeja.
The charted plane was said to be heading for Akure,
the Ondo State capital, with the remains of Dr. Olusegun Agagu, a former
gvernor of Ondo State, who died on September 13 and is scheduled to be buried
this weekend.
Emergency services have moved to the site of the
crash but Nigeria’s aviation authorities are yet to react to the accident.
